If you have a pet, you’re most likely fighting a constant battle between their hair and your house. You find it in your carpet, your floors, on your couch, your bed, and possibly even in your food!
Is there a solution to this losing battle? Get rid of your dog? Your cat? Never let them indoors? Absolutely not! Not here at Home Kitchenary at least. We see our pets as part of the family, so obviously we’d never rid of them. So, the real solution is finding the right set of cleaning tools and products for pet owners. Luckily, there are many people fighting the same pet hair fight and this has led to an amazing market of pet cleaning tools. If you are desperate to find an effective way to clean your house, then take a look at the tools below. You’ll be sure to find something that fits your household and will help you clean your home.
Pet Cleaning Tools You Can Trust
FURemover Broom – Pet Hair Broom
When it comes to removing our pets’ hair, we need to look at more than our carpet and rugs. The dang pet hair can collect (and find refuge in) on our hard floors too! Don’t believe me? Check under your stove, refrigerator, table. Shocked? Check the corners too; you’ll be shocked to find just how much hair escapes your daily sweeping. Rather than sweeping and struggling to pick up all that hair, grab a broom that is designed to pick up that hair. The FURemover broom is a pet cleaning product that will make picking up all that loose hair a breeze.
ChomChom Pet Hair Remover – Couch, Car, Bed, & More
If you’ve ever had your dog in your car, you probably noticed how quickly their dog hair appeared on just about everything. And even after you’ve vacuumed, you’re frustrated and impressed by the hair’s ability to resist the vacuum. Maybe you’ve tried a lint roller or some odd trick you’ve found on the internet. It’s tough to get hair out of car seats, and when it’s not in the car it’s on your couch or your bed. And while some may say the best thing to do is buy leather, not everyone can afford that option. If you are trying to do your best to keep a clean car or house, use this amazing, reusable pet hair remover. Although it’s not perfect, it’s earned thousands of popular reviews for its ability to removed the pesky hair in tricky places.
Delomo Pet Grooming Glove – Popular Grooming Tool
If you really want to get your house clean of pet hair, you not only need to remove the hairs around your house, but you also need to start preventative measures. Regular grooming of your cat, dog, or other critters can make a huge difference when they shed. And while this may not work for all pets (good luck to you husky owners), regular grooming will shock you with how different your house looks after a few weeks. As the owners of a dark rug in our living room and the parents of a light-haired dog, we can tell you from personal experiences that regular grooming makes a HUGE difference. We’ll promise you won’t regret such an easy tool as these grooming gloves. You pet will love the attention and pets — plus you’ll get the pesky hair out before it lands in your house!
Pet Haven Hair Remover Bundle – Best Selling Bundle
If you realize that you need more than one of the tools on this list, then save yourself the hassle and order a bundle! With many of the same styled products, you will not be disappointed in this bundle. Take note: most of this bundle is made up of small, hand-held items. This makes it perfect for those hard to reach areas, but it could be difficult to use if you’re trying to clean your entire couch or carpet. With that in mind, you will not be disappointed by these pet cleaning tools’ abilities to pull out pet hair. Give this bundle a try and find the right tools for your house.
Fur Zapper Pet Hair Remover – Best Laundry Hair Remover
You grab your favorite black turtleneck the night before a fun night out, but unfortunately it’s covered in hair. No worries! You toss it in a load of laundry and save it for next week. However, the next week you find that your unworn black top is still covered in hair! Nothing is more frustrating than having your outfit hairier than your actual pet. Whether it’s your pants, tops, jackets, or shoes, pet hair can put a damper on your outfit. While lint rollers can be a lifesaver in a pinch, it’s better to be preventative than responsive. With the Fur Zapper, you actually collect the pet hair that gets caught up in your laundry. This nifty tool can save you the hassle of troublesome pet hair during the laundry process — just make sure your pet doesn’t sit on your warm laundry during the folding process!
Black + Decker Furbuster – Popular Handheld Vacuum
When particularly tough pet hair won’t get cleaned by the standard options, it’s time to bust out the power tools. And yes, we did describe this vacuum as a power tool. With its powerful battery, brush, and sucking action, you will not be disappointed by the results. If you’ve got a pet like our dog, then you know their hairs can somehow burrow deep into car seats and couches. Even with a lint roller these are tough to pull out. This handheld pet cleaning tool works great as it can travel in the car and stores great back at home. If you’re looking for a smaller option, this Black + Decker Furbuster is a popular item in the market right now.
Eureka +Pet & Shark True Pet – Popular Pet Hair Vacuums
If you’re in need of a new vacuum and you have pets, then getting a pet hair vacuum is a no brainer! Why bother going over the same spot of carpet/rug over and over again when a pet vacuum can cut that time in half? And if you’ve noticed, we’re showing two popular models of pet vacuums that have earned the trust of thousands of customers. Whether you need to shop more on a budget or are willing to spend a little extra, you will not be disappointed in their performances. These vacuums will help suck up that tough pet hair on a multitude of surfaces and make cleaning after your pet even easier. Just a heads up: these pet vacuums are a wonder but still require basic vacuum maintenance! Too much hair will break any vacuum, so make sure you are doing your 6-month check-ups so you don’t burn out any motors or belts.
Roomba j7+ – Self Dumping
One of the best ways to stay on top of your pet hair problems is by automating the cleaning! That’s right, we’re talking about Roombas. Now, some folks’ memory of the Roomba is from the early models where it would fall down stairs or only pick up the lightest of dirts. That is no longer the case. The new models are powerful and effective robot vacuums, making them perfect as a pet cleaning tool. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by how clean they keep your floor of debris and pet hairs. Whether you have hard floors or carpets, these Roombas will keep it clean of your pet’s hair. We wanted to show off the latest model — the j7+ — because of how easy it makes your cleaning. This model is quieter, cleans better, and even dumps its waste every day. This means you only need to dump it once a month. And while this machine is amazing, I do need to point something out. If you have a puppy who is not quite house trained yet… please be careful. These robots will mercilessly vacuum up fresh poop and spread it over your house. Please be aware that these robots are smart, but not THAT smart. And get that pet house trained as soon as possible. Good luck!
I’m a Dog Owner, Not Just Some Writer
It’s in the title — I really am a dog owner. My wife and I adopted our first dog a few years ago after we got married. Ollie was a sweet, old boy who was the biggest goof. He also shed like crazy and was a grump. He refused to be trained (since he was adopted at 7 years old, I guess he knew what he wanted) and loved our couch and doing his best to get into our trash. We even bought childproof locks to prevent him from getting into our cupboards! He passed away after some great years and now we are the proud owners of a crazy 1-year old rescue pup. Luna(tic) has way more energy than Ollie did, but she shares the same love for shedding all over the house, especially the couch. On top of that, she LOVES toys and shreds them all over the house.
When I’m looking to clean up after Luna, I don’t have the luxury of time. As a working adult, I need to quickly and efficiently clean up after her. That’s why I take my search for quality pet cleaning tools seriously. I know each house varies as do the pets, but I’m sure you’ll find some great use from the pet cleaning products listed above. If you have any other tools or tips that could help pet owners with cleaning their homes, share below!
The more tips the better when it comes to cleaning up after these crazy pups of ours!
